No. BlueTicks works quietly on your side, inside your own Gmail. There is no badge, banner, or notification on the recipient's end — the blue ticks are just for you.
Nothing breaks. Your emails keep sending as usual and keep collecting read receipts behind the scenes — their ticks simply turn orange to show they're beyond the plan limit. If you upgrade later, the emails sent over the limit during the current period unlock retroactively. No data is ever lost.
Every Google Workspace account starts with a 60-day free trial with unlimited read receipts — the full Business experience. When the trial ends, new emails no longer show their read status until you subscribe to Business. Everything from the trial stays visible forever, and emails sent after the trial — within your current billing period — unlock retroactively when you subscribe.
Every active Business subscription includes one free Personal plan that you can give to any gmail.com address — a personal account, a colleague, a friend. You assign or change the beneficiary directly from the extension.
